Property Manager of the Year

The Property Manager of the Year is open to individuals in the property management industry. The winner of this award must be able to demonstrate how well they manage a successful portfolio, either individually or as part of a pod. They will be able to demonstrate initiative and consistency based on statistics around the portfolio. What we are looking for is the following.

  1. Growth in number of managements over the competition period.
  2. How arrears have been managed.
  3. The impact of churn on the portfolio.
  4. Average revenue per property.
  5. Feedback from clients and customers.

The winner will also have to demonstrate how they go above and beyond in their role as a property manager and how they contribute to their team and their community. Other aspects that will be considered are healthy homes compliance and the environment they are working in.

The criteria

  1. 40 points written submission
  2. 20 points for the video
  3. 30 points for being able to demonstrate evidence of excellent portfolio management
  4. 10 points for being able to provide testimonials from clients and customers

Entry requirements

  • Each award nomination must write, in no more than 500 words, why the individual is worthy of the award.
  • Each award nomination must write, in no more than 4 pages, evidence of excellent portfolio management [Growth in the number of managements over the competition period; How arrears have been managed; The impact of churn on the portfolio; Average revenue per property; Feedback from clients and customers]
  • Each award nomination must include a brief video no more than 5 minutes long describing what they have been nominated for and what the results were in relation to the award.
  • A bio no longer than 500 words and headshot, must be submitted with awards.

Terms
  • The award qualifying period runs from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024.
  • The closing date for entries is the 30th of August at 4.00 pm. There will be no extensions.
  • Nominees must be working within the property management industry during the competition period. This does not necessarily mean they must be working directly for a property management company unless stated in the award. However, they must be working for a company that is directly involved in the property management industry.
  • Entries can be submitted individually or by nomination.
  • All entrants must have tickets to attend The PMC.
  • All entrants will be judged by three judges that will be named and will not be working within the industry. If there is a conflict of interest, this will be declared by the judges. The Judges collective decision is final.
  • For each award, evidence must be submitted as to why the nominee is worthy of the award.
  • Figures provided for awards may be audited at the discretion of The PMC Awards judges.
  • Failure to allow auditing may result in a nomination being rejected.
  • Each award will be weighted on the stated criteria.
